Tweet in Yoruba

It looks like twitter in Yoruba language is coming soon. From the look of things preeeety soon.

Naturally, our campaigners were excited about this development, and wanted to know just how soon this would happen.
Twitter’s global platform is already available in over two dozen languages: Arabic, Danish, Dutch, Farsi, Filipino, Finnish,French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese,Korean, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Urdu.
With regard to localisation, the platform’s self proclaimed goal is to make Twitter available in all languages.
What do you think about this development? Do you think we’ll also see support for Igbo, Hausa and other popular Nigerian languages anytime soon?
In the meantime, enjoy some choice Yoruba tweets from the #tweetyoruba campaign. Don’t worry if you don’t understand, if you just ask with the right Twitter hashtag, I’m positive that a competent translator won’t be far away :)
