Computer scientists
have developed a mobile phone app that can predict the tone of
incoming messages after a user reads them so that they don't get
caught off guard by angry or hostile words. The android phone app
“stress @ work” created at the University of Portsmouth colour
codes messages so people have time to prepare themselves. It
integrates itself with the social media sites like facebook, twitter
and the rest. Nice messages are coded green while negative messages
are designated red and neutral is blue.
It is designed in
English Language. So if you inbox on my facebook or DM me on twitter
an insult in Igala language, I might still have that heart attack.
The developers hope to
make this app available for free downloading from the android
marketplace by the end of June and on other platforms within the next
academic year.
